Raise your hands and cheer if you love Savannah, Georgia! We love Savannah’s history, its captivating old buildings, its graceful Spanish moss, and the abundance of art and design around the city. And that’s why we chose Savannah for the first design in our new series of destination totes!
We’re partnering with Joanna Dee, a fabulous and whimsical illustrator, to bring you a new collection of tote bags featuring hand-illustrated maps of some of your favorite cities. Joanna’s illustrations celebrate unique landmarks and iconic locations through beautiful map designs.
Featuring a minimalistic silhouette with ample volume, two classic leather handles, an open top, and a convenient interior zipper pocket, the Wilson Market Tote is the perfect carryall. You’ll be reaching for this bag for every occasion - from play dates to work commutes!
Each R.Riveter handbag takes a journey across the country before arriving at your doorstep. Components are crafted by independent military spouses in their homes around the nation, and shipped to R.Riveter's FabShop to be assembled into a one-of-a-kind product.

Inspiration Behind the Name
The Wilson Tote was inspired by Edith Wilson, the first woman who secretly served as acting President of the United States.
In the fall of 1919, when President Woodrow Wilson suffered a paralyzing stroke, his wife Edith began to handle day-to-day responsibilities of the Executive Office. She attended meetings and screened all matters of state, deciding which issues were important enough to bring to her bedridden husband. Edith continued this “stewardship” until the term ended in 1921, unofficially running the country months before women had the right to vote.
The Wilson Market Tote carries on the legacy of a strong, progressive woman whose dedication to her country and her family can inspire women everywhere.
About Joanna Dee Studio
We are so excited to work with artist Joanna Dee () on our new series of destination totes! Born into a family of creatives, Joanna was always making things growing up, and she developed a deep love for typography and stationery. She opened Joanna Dee Studio to marry her love of illustration and paper products.
Joanna is most happy when creating illustrations that tell stories, celebrate history, and encourage people to stay curious about the world around them. We love her mission and are so excited to partner with her on our new destination collection.
